Who We Are

Leroy Rey (42), a creative & true musical chameleon, started out as a DJ at 18 years old and known for his deep musical knowledge & mixing skills, as well as energetic, almost infectious, delivery. Also drumming since age 7, he picked up on producing as well and is one of the founding members of hip hop outfit ‘ The Proov ’. A day one resident, Leroy has been playing with Wicked Jazz Sounds , stuck with them through every phase.

Lucas Benjamin (29) has been DJ-ing for over 10 years and was a professional dancer before he fully started focusing on music. He first took the worldwide (Hip-Hop) dance-scene by storm with his always challenging and uplifting selections. As his musical knowledge expanded, so did his audience. He started playing more and more at parties, festivals and radioshows. Then in 2013 he was asked to play at Wicked Jazz Sounds , which felt like a natural next step because this party was rooted in all music Lucas naturally gravitated to. Soon after that he became a resident there. His connection with Leroy grew stronger every time they played together and now they are ready to take on this challenge of starting the record label Wicked Wax !
